Luka Thetard

Luka Thetard is the founder of brick'em. Active LEGO reseller.

I started selling LEGO because I saw how much value was hiding in bulk lots that most people overlooked. I'd buy a big lot at a show or on Facebook Marketplace, dump the minifigures on a table, and spend the rest of the day looking up every single one on BrickLink by hand. That's where brick'em started. I built a scanner to identify figures from photos and pull prices automatically. But identifying the figures was only half the problem.

As I grew, I realized I had to expand into BrickLink, eBay, Whatnot, Shopify, and every other major platform if I wanted to sell LEGO full time. Each platform has its own listing format, its own fees, its own quirks. Managing inventory across all of them while processing new lots every week became the real bottleneck. And there was almost nothing built for sellers operating at that scale. Most LEGO software is made for collectors who want to track what they own. Almost none of it is built for someone moving $30k a month in product who needs to list hundreds of items across five platforms before the weekend.

LEGO reselling historically runs on thin margins. When you're making 20 to 30 percent on a flip, it's hard to justify hiring people to manage new platforms or build out systems. You have to do it yourself or find software that does it for you. That's why I built brick'em. Every feature exists because I hit a wall in my own operation and needed a solution. I sell on BrickLink, eBay, Whatnot, and at local shows through Michigan Bricks LLC. I process bulk lots every week. I can confidently say I understand the problems sellers run into on a daily basis because I'm living them.

My goal with brick'em is to build enterprise-level software for resellers who want to take their businesses seriously. Not toy software. Not a hobby tracker. Real tools for people who are trying to build a real business. All of my tools are built with one goal in mind: make more money, in less time.
